LED tube driver is a LED driver power supply, it is the most important part of an LED tube lamp. improper choice, LED tube lamps can not play a performance, even can not be used normally.
Led Tube driver has two kinds built-in and external, the built-in is a long strip, that can be directly inserted into the semicircular tube inside. The built-in led driver is also divided into two types: isolated and non-isolated. Non-isolated means that there is a direct connection between the load end and the input end, and there is the risk of touch shock, especially when the load is high voltage.
The non-isolated type is most commonly used at present, which is directing step-down the power supply, as shown in Figure 1 (HAD028CXN). The non-isolated constant current led driver power supply has the advantages of simplicity and high index, and its output current can be determined according to the number of LED series and parallel connections. In most cases, the output current and voltage should not be too large.
The other is the isolated constant current type, such as Figure 2 (HAD020CXI-T8). The isolated type refers to the isolation transformer at the input and output terminals, which can avoid the danger of electric shock. However, due to the addition of a transformer to the circuit, the power supply will be less efficient and a little larger than the non-isolated type.
In general, the highest power isolation led tube driver is 15-20W, because the transformer volume increases with the increase of power, if used in the built-in fluorescent lamp, it is difficult to put in T6/T8, and the cost will be very high. So in comparison, a non-isolated led tube power supply is more popular, a smaller volume has lower cost, and the overall cost performance is higher.
